1.2/ Korte geschiedenis
IT1 werd opgericht in 1995 door Mario Van De Voorde en is vandaag gevestigd in Baasrode
(Dendermonde) en Gentbrugge (Gent). Vandaag behoort IT1 tot de koplopers binnen de OostVlaamse IT-markt.
Sinds 2002 maakt IT1 deel uit van Qcom, een aankoop– en marketinggroepering die bestaat uit
een tiental gereputeerde IT-bedrijven verspreid over heel Vlaanderen. Samen vormt deze
groepering zo één van de voornaamste ICT-spelers op de Belgische kmo-markt.
IT1 heette vroeger EcoPc maar dit dekte niet de lading dus zijn ze overgeschakeld naar IT1
1.3/ Nom, logo et le forme juridistique
IT1 est synonyme de qualité
La qualité est le motif pour IT1 ; et ce tant en termes de produits et de solutions mises en œuvre
, comme son service et service après-vente .
Le nom a venir par un recherche à les clients et le agence publicitaire, ils avaient plus de 400
noms et puis il a devenu IT1. Le nom est court et doux et avait représente le numéro 1 des IT.
Il le habitude d’ être EcoPc mais sa ne couvre pas la cargaison pour sa ils ont fait IT1.
Le logo est aussi sélectionné de 200 logos , finalement il a devenir un logo de main de un
designer de coca-cola, ils ont converti cette logo a un logo digitale et sa est le logo de
aujourd’hui.
IT1 a choisi pour un SPRL, SPRL est court pour société privée à responsabilité limitée

1.4/ Specific professional terms
IT1 has an establishment certificate and a distribution certificate, an establishment certificate is
needed for some occupations like barber, caterer, banquet contractor and many more. You must
get this certificate in the chamber of skills and crafts. To get a certificate you also need to prove
that you have enough professional knowledge and the knowledge of business management
(provable by knowledge certificate’s) a distribution certificate is needed by everyone who wants
to start a company, you can also get this in the chamber of skills and crafts of your city/state in
order to get this you need your business management knowledge certificate and five years of
experience.

1.6/ Initiatieven in kader van de MVO
IT1 doet mee aan groene energie en is ingeschreven bij recupel, dit wilt zeggen dat niet meer
gebruikte computers, tablets en anderen niet zomaar worden weg gegooid maar ze worden
gerecicleerd, dit helpt zorgen voor een beter milieu voor iedereen.
IT1 heeft ook een energieaudit laten doen in 2009 en op basis daarvan hebben ze zonnepanelen,
een angepaste termostaat en lichtsensors laten installeren om hiermee ook weer bij te dragen
aan een beter milieu.
IT1 doet dus vooral initiatieven in het kader van een beter milieu, ze geven om onze volgende
generaties en de aarde, en ookal is IT niet altijd het milieuvriendelijkste vak, toch proberen ze het
milieu zo veel mogelijk te helpen.
IT1 heeft met zijn inzet voor het milieu 2 x de nationale pers gehaald:

IT1 zorgt intern zelf voor de sortering van het afval. Karton, papier, piepschuim en plastic worden
strikt gescheiden gehouden. Goederen waarop een recupelbijdrage van toepassing is, worden
apart gesorteerd in de container die ons ter beschikking is gesteld door de vzw Recupel.

1.7/ Study of the IT-Infrastructure:
They use a lot of different IT infrastructure in IT1 like Thin clients, notebooks, tablets, hybrids,…
People that develop work on a full on workstation, All of what is used (computer wise) in IT1 is
by HP (Hewlett-Packard) , this is also a reason why they are sponsored by HP. Every employee in
the company works on a 2 monitor setup (both 23’) and everything is set up ergonomically with
an arm that is fully movable in all ways, ergonomic chairs and tables.

Full Microsoft office packet (Word, Excel, Powerpoint,….) To make file’s , databases,
PowerPoints,….
DB fact which is the program for the ERP packet (ERP stands for Enterprise resource planning)
this program is used to make the life’s of the employee’s easy, DB fact lets you enter the data of
customers only once and saves it and lets you use it wherever and however you want. This is by
far the most important software in the company.
They also use sharepoint , this program makes it easy to all work together on something and it is
also really safe.
Bring your own device:
The company doesn’t really need the BOYD method because everyone gets an own device to
use from the company.

Cloud:
The company uses cloud a lot, all of the security is in the cloud and all of the mail (which by the
way they use Office 365 for) and all of the anti-spam is also in the cloud, all of the e-mails are
also stored in the cloud.
Tips:
1. Use more of the same computers and tablets, this makes it easier to replace and or switch
between workplace’s
2. Don’t use a mix of apple and android and Microsoft, stay loyal to one operating system, this
works way better with each other.
3. More plants in the company for more natural air.
