Kennis te hebben genomen van voornoemd ‘Preliminary research plan’ en de beoogde rol
van onze organisatie bij een eventueel hieruit voortkomend onderzoeksproject;
Kennis genomen te hebben van de online programmabrochure, betreffende het NWOWetsus Partnership Programme en de verplichtingen en verantwoordelijkheden die uit een
commitment van onze organisatie aan het project zoals bedoeld bij de eerste bullet zouden
voortvloeien;
Kennis genomen te hebben van het standaard Consortium agreement, als separate bijlage
6.2 behorende bij voornoemd programma;
In dit stadium namens de organisatie het ingediende voorlopige onderzoeksplan te
ondersteunen, vanwege de verwachte verbeteringen die realisatie van dit plan de
samenleving en/of onze organisatie zal opleveren, blijkens deze steunbrief/letter of support;
En, op grond van het bovenstaande, de intentie te hebben om, bij indiening van een op het
voorlopig onderzoeksplan gebaseerd volledige onderzoeksvoorstel, de aanvraag vergezeld te
doen gaan van een commiteringsbrief/’letter of commitment namens onze organisatie,
hetgeen inhoudt dat bij honorering van het betreffende volledige onderzoeksvoorstel, de in
de commiteringsbrief uitgesproken steun daadwerkelijk, en juridisch afdwingbaar, door onze
organisatie zal worden verleend zoals, met onze instemming, zal worden beschreven in de
volledige onderzoeksaanvraag, de commiteringsbrief en de binnen dit programma
voorgeschreven consortiumovereenkomst (bijlage 6.2 bij de programmabrochure).
Deze steunverklaring heeft de status van intentieverklaring en er kunnen geen juridisch afdwingbare
rechten aan worden ontleend.

To have read the already mentioned ‘Preliminary research plan’ and understood the role our
organisation will have to fulfill in the case this research plan results in a research project;
To have read the online NWO-Wetsus Partnership Programme brochure and to be aware of
the duties and responsibilities that result from a commitment by our organisation to the
project referred to in the previous bullet point (including the obligation to obtain/maintain
membership of Wetsus if, and as soon as, the full research proposal gets granted);
To have read the format of the standard Consortium agreement, to be used with the
aforementioned programme;
To, at this stage, support, on behalf of the organisation, the submitted preliminary research
plan, because of the improvements expected from this project for society and/or our
organisation, as demonstrated by this letter of support;
And, on the basis of aforementioned considerations, have the intention to accompany any
full research proposal resulting from this preliminary research plan by a letter of
commitment issued by our organisation, which implies that if and after the full research
proposal will have been granted, the support to be expressed in the letter of commitment
will indeed be provided, enforceable by legal means, according to the description that will be
included, with our consent, in the full research proposal, the letter of commitment and the
consortium agreement.
This letter of support has the status of an expression of an intention. It is not legally binding in any
way.

onze organisatie bij een eventueel hieruit voortkomend onderzoeksproject;
Kennis genomen te hebben van de online programmabrochure betreffende het NWOWetsus Partnership Programme en de verplichtingen en verantwoordelijkheden die uit dit
commitment van onze organisatie aan het project zoals bedoeld bij de eerste bullet
voortvloeien (waaronder de verplichting om, bij honorering van het volledige
onderzoeksvoorstel, lid te worden/blijven van Wetsus);
Kennis genomen te hebben van het standaard Consortium agreement, behorende bij
voornoemd programma;
Namens de organisatie het ingediende voorlopige onderzoeksplan te ondersteunen,
vanwege de verwachte verbeteringen die realisatie van dit plan de samenleving en/of onze
organisatie zal opleveren, en de verplichting tot steun, onder voorwaarde van honorering,
blijkens deze commiteringsbrief/letter of commitment;
Deze commiteringsbrief houdt in dat bij honorering van het betreffende volledige
onderzoeksvoorstel, de in deze commiteringsbrief uitgesproken steun daadwerkelijk, en
juridisch afdwingbaar, door onze organisatie zal worden verleend zoals, met onze
instemming, zal beschreven in de volledige onderzoeksaanvraag, deze commiteringsbrief en
de consortiumovereenkomst.
Deze commiteringsbrief heeft de status van verplichting onder voorwaarde van honorering en de
toegezegde steun kan, indien en nadat het volledige onderzoeksvoorstel is gehonoreerd door NWO,
ook langs juridische weg worden afgedwongen.
