En dit is het eeuwige leven, dat zij U
kennen, de enige waarachtige God,
en Jezus Christus, Die U gezonden
hebt.
Ik bid niet dat U hen uit de wereld
wegneemt, maar dat U hen bewaart
voor de boze. Zij zijn niet van de
wereld, zoals Ik niet van de wereld
ben. Heilig hen door Uw waarheid;
Uw woord is de waarheid.
And this is eternal life, + that they
know you the only true God, and
Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
I do not ask that you + take them out
of the world, but that you keep them
from the evil one. They are not of
the world, just as I am not of the
world. Sanctify them in the truth;
your word is truth

Zoek de vrede voor de stad
waarheen Ik u in ballingschap
heb gevoerd. Bid ervoor tot de
HEERE, want in haar vrede zult
u vrede hebben.
But seek the welfare of the city
where I have sent you into
exile, and pray to the Lord on
its behalf, for in its welfare you
will find your welfare.
