HITT levert havenmanagement informatie systeem aan Zeeland Seaports
Apeldoorn, 31 mei 2007 - Zeeland Seaports heeft HITT geselecteerd als leverancier van het management
information system (MIS) voor de havens van Vlissingen en Terneuzen. HITT Traffic zal de opdracht in
samenwerking met haar Canadese zusterbedrijf Klein Systems Group uit Vancouver realiseren. Nadat de
Amsterdamse Havenautoriteiten in een aanbesteding voor een gelijksoortig systeem van HITT kozen, heeft
nu ook Zeeland Seaports besloten om de organisatie, planning en uitvoering van haar
vrachtafhandelingsactiveiten via een HITT management information system te laten verlopen. Het systeem
integreert de informatiestromen tussen commerciële en overheidsorganisaties in de haven en fungeert als
een belangrijk informatieplatform voor alle belanghebbenden in het Zeeland Seaports gebied.
Het systeem ondersteunt het personeel op vier locaties van Zeeland Seaports en maximaal 45 gebruikersop-afstand. Elektronische interfaces integreren het systeem met bestaande systemen in Zeeland. Het
systeem wordt binnen 2 jaar operationeel opgeleverd. Kosten van het systeem zijn ca 2 miljoen euro,
inclusief drie jaar onderhoud.
HITT levert naast de traditionele verkeersbegeleidingssystemen steeds vaker systemen voor logistieke
afhandeling van schepen en vracht. De combinatie van informatie uit beide systemen maakt het efficiënte
gebruik van overcapaciteit in havens mogelijk. HITT levert deze systemen wereldwijd.
HITT levert deze systemen en combinatie van systemen niet alleen in Nederland, maar ook in Dublin, Ierland
en Sjanghai, China. HITT levert het stand-alone management informatie systeem inmiddels wereldwijd.
Profiel HITT
HITT is een vooraanstaand speler in de wereldwijde nichemarkt voor verkeersbegeleiding- en navigatiesystemen. De
door HITT ontwikkelde technologie leidt tot hogere veiligheid, betere doorstroming en aanzienlijke besparingen in
infrastructuur en logistiek. De activiteiten van HITT bestaan uit het ontwerpen en verkopen van verkeersbegeleidende
systemen voor lucht- en scheepvaart en hydrografische en navigatiesystemen. Verkeersbegeleidende systemen

binnen- en buitenwateren; ‘Technical Services’ op onderhoud van kennis en systemen bij klanten en ‘haven
management systemen’ op beheersing van inzet en afrekening van middelen en diensten in havens. Hydrografische en
navigatiesystemen omvatten ‘Hydrographic survey systems’ voor het maken van digitale onderwater terreinmodellen;
‘precision navigation systems’ voor beloodsing en ondersteuning bij afmeren en offshore constructiewerkzaamheden;
‘navigation systems’ voor de visserij en automatische identificatie AIS en ‘AIS Live.com’ dat via het internet
scheepsinformatie verspreidt aan geinteresseerden. HITT levert software producten, ondersteunende diensten en neemt
integrale projecten aan. Als projectverantwoordelijke levert HITT alle benodigde systeemelementen zoals sensoren,
communicatieapparatuur en computers. Na de installatie voorziet HITT in het jarenlange onderhoud van de systemen.

HITT behaalde in 2006 een omzet van EUR 27,9 miljoen en een nettowinst van EUR 1,9 miljoen. Het aantal werknemers
eind 2006 bedroeg 165. Sinds juni 1998 is HITT genoteerd aan Euronext Amsterdam NV.

HITT to supply a port management information system to Zeeland Seaports
Apeldoorn/the Netherlands, 31 May 2007 - Zeeland Seaports has selected the management information
system (MIS) of HITT for the ports of Flushing and Terneuzen. HITT Traffic will implement the order in close
cooperation with its Canadian subsidiary Klein Systems Group of Vancouver. Subsequent to the decision of
Amsterdam Port Authorities to select a similar HITT system, Zeeland Seaports also chose a HITT MIS to
organize the planning, operation and cargo activities of its logistics. The system which integrates the
information between private and governmental organisations in the port will be a single portal for all
stakeholders in the Zeeland Seaports area.
The system will support the Zeeland Seaports staff at 4 locations and up to 45 remote users. Multiple
electronic interfaces integrate the port management system with existing systems in the Zeeland area. The
system costs EUR 2 million including 3 years maintenance and will be operational within two years. HITT’s
traditional market for traffic guidance and control is expanding with systems that handle ships and cargo in
harbours. The combination of information from both systems –traffic versus cargo- reveals unused capacity
in ports that can be put to profit. HITT deploys these systems worldwide.
HITT delivers these systems and combination of systems in the Netherlands, in Dublin/Ireland and
Shanghai/China. The stand alone system of HITT is supplied worldwide.
