• Energy in the use phase always most significant environmental
aspect
• Big influence of (big) industry: technical knowledge and
information
• IM are dynamic: review clause and requirements in stages
• IM are ambitious, but impact on innovation is limited
• Efficient use and installation also influence environmental
performance of products, but system approach is problematic for
responsabilities
• Synergy with other legislations, policies and objectives,
benchmarks in IM important for GPP and ecolabel
