Toepassing
Een ontruimingsalarminstallatie heeft als doel de in het bouwwerk aanwezige personen na het ontdekken van een brand te
alarmeren. In de meeste gevallen wordt hiervoor gebuikt gemaakt
van signaalgevers welke een akoestisch of optisch signaal voort- brengen (of een combinatie daarvan). Voor het Penta intelligente
brandmeldsysteem zijn een aantal uitvoeringen leverbaar, allen
met hun eigen toepassing.
Uitvoeringen
Daar waar automatische brandmelders
worden toegepast is het praktisch een
signaalgever met sokkeluitvoering te
gebruiken waarop de melder kan worden
geplaatst. Op een sokkel kan echter ook
een los flitslicht worden geplaatst, of een
optionele deksel indien geen melder of

flitslicht is benodigd. Uitbreiding is dan
eenvoudig indien later alsnog detectie
nodig is.
In omgevingen waar meer geluidsopbrengst en/of bescherming
tegen vocht noodzakelijk is, zijn de signaalgevers zonder sokkel
een oplossing.
Synchronisatie
Alle Penta signaalgevers zijn zowel per lus, centrale als ook over
het netwerk gesynchroniseerd. Hierdoor is het slow-whoop
signaal altijd gewaarborgd, en zijn tevens alle flitslichten met
elkaar synchroon.
Zelftest
Wanneer een signaalgever actief is wordt het geluidsniveau
gemeten en/of de flitsfunctie getest. Indien er binnen 5 seconde
geen geluid en/of licht wordt gemeten, meldt de betreffende
signaalgever dit op de centrale als een storing. Hiermee wordt het testen van de werking van signaalgevers eenvoudig en tijdbesparend.
Accessoires
Voor de signaalgevers in de sokkeluitvoering zijn een aantal
accessoires beschikbaar zoals een doorvoerdoos voor opbouwmontage en een deksel indien geen melder wordt gebruikt.
Voor regio’s waar een oranje flitslicht de brandweeringang moet
aanduiden is een waterdichte behuizing leverbaar zodat het
flitslicht beschermd is tegen vocht, en toch op de lus kan worden
geplaatst.

Protocol
Alle signaalgevers voor de Penta werken volgens het XP95 of
Discovery protocol. Dit betekent dat ze allen een adres gebruiken
waarmee de betreffende signaalgever kan worden aangestuurd
vanuit de programmering. De sirenes hebben de mogelijkheid om
in een installatie twee tonen te produceren, afhankelijk of een ontruiming (slow-whoop toon) of attentie (continue toon) moet worden
gegenereerd. Discovery signaalgevers hebben verder de eigenschap dat de sirene en het flitslicht afzonderlijk van elkaar kunnen
worden aangestuurd.
