Moniek is a former researcher of the AMC's Department of Public
Health and worked as a postdoctoral researcher on several projects
concerning alcohol use and the impact of health policies. In April 2016
she left the Department to continue her career in science with KPMG,
a company providing audit, tax and advisory services. Moniek will
inform us about what it is she does at KPMG, and will discuss with us
the ways in which commercial science and science in academia are
similar, but more interesting, how they are different. What can both
types of science learn from each other? Are we missing out on
important strategies to improve our work? In this extern referaat both
worlds will collide and together we will get to the core of the best parts
of these worlds.
